Can federal employees enroll at AlphaPrimeTech?

Federal agencies may take full advantage of the training provided by AlphaPrimeTech and other commercial training resources.

Here’s why:

  • The Federal Workforce Restructuring Act of 1994 (PL102-226) eliminates the distinction between government and non-government training sources. This Act also eliminates requirements of eligibility for non-government training (See: 5 CFR Part 410).
  • The Government Employees Training Act (PL 85-507, as amended) enables agencies to sponsor and pay for training by AlphaPrimeTech and other non-government sources.

Do you offer certificates upon graduation?

Yes.

Students enrolled in any of our training courses are prepared and eligible to write certification exams leading to their desired designation. Upon completing a course in full attendance, students also receive a Certificate of Attendance. This can be used to prove hours towards further certification if the student desires.

Any student enrolled in our Project Management Preparation (PMP) course will have their PMP Certification Exam scheduled by their course instructor.

The certifications our students can complete are recognized across their respective industries and prove to potential employers that you have the skills they are looking for to fill job positions. Confidently walk into a rewarding career with credentials that are highly-recognized and respected.

How far in advance do I need to register?

It’s hard to say. The sooner the better, as our classes generally fill up quickly.

How should I dress?

Our students are invited to wear casual or business casual clothing while attending our training courses.

Military uniforms are not required for members of armed services.

In the case of a personal illness or emergency, what will happen with my training?

You must attend the full session to receive a Certificate of Attendance.

In case of illness or emergency, our helpful Admissions Representatives will help you in any way they are able to.

What are the regular school/course hours?

Start and end times vary according to the subject matter and location, but are typically from 8:30 AM until 4:30 PM.

Please note that you must make your own transportation plans according to the schedule confirmation you receive.

In order to receive a Certificate of Attendance, you must attend the entire course session.

What materials will my course include?

Each course includes a unique manual specially designed for your course. These manuals are timely, engaging, and updated continually.

At AlphaPrimeTech, our training courses’ content will engage you in thinking about what you will be doing on the job in your desired profession. Case studies, exhibits, and practical exercises help reinforce major principles.

What should I look for when choosing a training organization?

First, look for an organization that specializes in the technology or industry you want to learn.

Other things to look for include:

  • Class Size – The smaller the class, the more individual attention the instructor can give each student
  • Training Facilities – Does each student receive their own computer? Are the facilities up to date and conducive to the type of learning you expect?
  • Cost – Consider a price point that will work best for you
  • Length of Program – Depending on your goals, you may be seeking a shorter or longer length program or training course. Make sure you pay attention to the length of time programs are offered in.

At AlphaPrimeTech, we offer each of our students their own PC to work on in the most up-to-date facilities available. Our training courses are shorter than many, so our students are quickly able to start working in their respective industries.

When can I expect a start date confirmation for training?

We will first email you a confirmation letter within one week of registering, if possible.

Then, we will mail a registration confirmation letter to you at least three weeks prior to the course start date.

We would request you don’t make travel arrangement prior to receiving your course confirmation start date.

If the course you desire to register for is full or has been rescheduled, you will be notified promptly.

Where will my class be held?

Courses are held at training centers in the New York City metro area. You can access these facilities via major bus routes from Brooklyn, the Bronx, Queens, and Manhattan.
